Turret braced for growth after NHS deal

Sale-based orthodontics practice Turret Orthodontics has won a tender from Trafford Primary Care Trust (PCT) which will see it add around 100 NHS patients a year to its books. The practice, which recently completed a major £400,000 renovation programme, was awarded the long term contract ahead of several other tenders. It said that the deal would also help it to reduce its own waiting list, which currently stands at around 12 months. The practice was set up in 2000 by Mohit Khurana, a consultant orthodontist at Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust. It now has six surgeries which have all been refitted with new technology following the refurbishment. “This, combined with the new NHS contract, will allow more people in the region to access a wider range of NHS orthodontic services,” said Khurana.
