They consist of metal brackets fitted to the front surface of your teeth with a thin metal archwire connecting them. Elastic bands then provide pressure to the archwire to help straighten your teeth.

Invisalign First is an option for younger children that need orthodontic treatment. The benefits of your child having aligners over fixed braces, is that they can clean their teeth easier. Fixed braces, however, are ideal for those that are not disciplined to wear the aligners for the recommended hours per day. However, we have found that children and teens are highly compliant in wearing aligners, allowing for fantastic results. Invisalign First straightens the teeth according to your treatment plan.

Invisalign Teens is the discrete clear aligner brace. The aligners straighten the teeth according to your teen’s bespoke treatment plan and because the aligners are virtually invisible your child’s confidence could build within months of wearing their aligners.

Fixed braces are great for children due to the simple fact that they are fixed! They will not need reminding to place their aligner back onto their teeth after mealtimes. When wearing a fixed brace, extra diligence is needed when brushing teeth. It is important that your child keeps up with their oral hygiene and attends their appointments. Like aligners, some fixed braces can be discrete. Even if your young child is looking for a discreet brace, we can provide a ceramic fixed brace, which is less visible than a metal fixed brace.
